The newsletter

To join the newsletter, you email us and we add your address to the list. We use it only to send the Geek Girl Meetup newsletter, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

If you signed up on our old website, we kept your address and the date you signed up when the site changed, so we can show that you agreed to hear from us. We plan to move the list to EmailOctopus, a newsletter service with servers in the EU.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

Visiting the website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Emailing us

If you email us, we keep the conversation for as long as it is relevant, and then delete it.

Other services we use

• Mailchimp and Substack — for sending newsletters and posts.
• Google Analytics — used on our old website. It is not used on this one.
• Squarespace — hosted our old website, which has now closed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email hello@geekgirlmeetup.com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
